Research/Find seven (7) media examples with typography and respond to the following by creating and presenting in the PREZI online tool (www.prezi.com)
a. is the example powerful? Why? -describe the example or reproduce it
b. are there distractors with each example? Explain
c. in what ways does the text/font style follow the guidelines of 'anatomy of a letter"?

d. provide 2 stars and a wish—2 things you really like about each example,
one thing you would rather see or do differently /35 marks

Assignment 4: Keyboard Art. Read the information linked to this assignment <-- clip here, and then create 3 pieces of keyboard art, 1 simple and 2 complex. Do all work in MsWord and save to user folder. Discuss further with the teacher. 25 marks
Assignment 5: Final Project
Outcomes:
Task: Design/create a magazine or cataloge (see samples in classroom)
Design and create a 8-12 page bound type document, include cover page, ad pages, information pages (from above assignments)
Do a layout on paper first.
-Include the following elements in a themed or genre selected topic (social action, community improvement, youth education, )
-An advertisement reporting on the do’s and don’ts of copyright restrictions and permissions for a student.
-An advertisement on a cause related to the theme using a variety of typography learned in previous assignment
-An education piece explaining the following
· -kerning and tracking
· -line spacing and alignment
· -stacked type and hierarchy
· -how adjusting the spacing, scale and position of letters can provide meaning to a word visual
OR, include an article on your chosen topic demonstrating the above techniques
---use a variety of typography to demonstrate each element of text, traditional fonts to ‘uber’ modern like letters tattooed across knuckles etc., throughout the entire magazine to show how much you have learned an are now able to do.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work /50 marks
Module work should be 20 to 25 hours.
